Let's talk about Lizzie ladies and gentlemen! First things first she's the realest (yes I'm singing) haha but really this girl is such an inspiration to me in many ways. I appreciate authenticity in someone more than anything and she is the real deal.
Before I ever even watched Elizabeth (Lizzie) Rovsek on 'The Real Housewives of Orange County' I got to know her a little bit as a mother and business owner. She is the owner and designer of Sun Kitten Swimwear, former Miss Kentucky, mother of two beautiful boys, and a house wife. But I'm not just talking about the hit reality show on Bravo, in real life too! I love when I can relate with other moms. Her and I hit it off from the beginning with each having two boys, two crazy beautiful boys that is. Back to her bikini line, it is TO DIE! The designs are on point and she puts her heart and soul into what she does. I feel like you can always tell when someone is passionate about what they do, to me it shows in the quality of their business in general. I know what it takes to be a "stay home mom" and run a business full time, let me tell you this shit don't come easy! You have to be machine to go through a day in the life of a business owner/stay home mom. For that I will always have a special place in my heart for Lizzie.
Best of luck to you my friend! xx
q: Tell me how you would describe your home style.
a: My home style is Rustic Glam. I love natural wood juxtaposed with crystal chandeliers. In my home you will find hard wood floors, white marble, tufted headboards, vintage mirrors and crystal chandeliers. I'm a very feminine woman in a house full of boys so my house needs to be durable. My dream home would be all white, unfinished heringbone wood floors with many crystal chandeliers, marble, and gold guilded mirrors. Unfortunately when you have a masculine dominated home, that Chanel box look would get destroyed and my boys would probably be uncomfortable. One day...
q: What about your home would surprise people?
a: You may be surprised to find that I have 2 playrooms for my boys. One on the first floor and the other on the third floor. I guess you can say they run the house. Boys are very active and I love that they have room to explore and use their imagination.
q: Does your home reflect your fashion style?
a: I would say my home does reflect my fashion style. I am a pretty laid back individual, but love my accent pieces. Like the chandeliers in my house, I adore big earrings. You usually find me in yoga pants with lipstick on. So it's this dressed up, dressed down look. I would say my home is like that too. It's cozy and lived in, but put together with just enough added sparkle.
q: What or who inspires you?
a: I'm inspired by so many things. I'm really digging Pinterest these days.... I also love to travel and am always inspired seeing new things. I'm a designer so I'm always thinking creatively and love fabrics.
q: & most importantly. What is your personal favorite Salvaged Soul piece
a: My favorite Salvaged Soul piece that I have in my home are these awesome initial plaques that Christa made my boys. They are gorgeous accents to their rooms. However, I'm obsessed with her work and really would love a custom fireplace in my living room. Christa is truly talented and I love the natural wood look that she does.
Everyone make sure to check out Sun Kitten Swimwear.
